Caroline Lee
Caroline is an award winning performer, creator and writer, and has worked professionally in the arts for over twenty years. She has worked with many theatre companies including the Malthouse, STC, MTC, Bell Shakespeare, Back to Back Theatre, Chamber Made Opera, MKA, Finucane and Smith, Hildegard, Playbox (Raw) and La Mama. She has also developed a strong reputation for her work in one-woman shows. She has received three Green Room Awards for her work in the theatre.
Caroline’s film and television appearances include a main cast role in Bogan Pride, and roles in The Dressmaker, Tangle, Winners and Losers, Satisfaction, Stingers, MDA, Halifax fp, Blue Heelers, Neighbours, Holidays on the River Yarra and Dogs in Space, as well as a number of smaller film projects with independent producers including When The Wind Changes.
Her novel, Stripped, was serialised from 2008-2010 in literary journal Meanjin and was published as a boutique, limited edition of the novel. She has also had a number of short stories published, received first prize for a short story in the 2006 Fellowship of Australian Writers writing competition, and in 2005 won the Marion Eldridge Award for emerging woman writers.
Caroline is also a well-known, and awarded, narrator of talking books, and she has many years experience in training health professionals through the use of improvisation and role play. She was also a staff member at Chamber Made Opera from 2010-2012, under the directorship of David Young
