Little Operations 2021-22 with Rebecca Bracewell

Sound artist Rebecca Bracewell explores her hearing aids creatively through her project Instruments that Listen, in dialogue with artists from Chamber Made and the Australian Art Orchestra.

Arising from her experience with hearing loss, Instruments that Listen will explore what it means to listen imperfectly and with a reliance on hearing technology. This Little Operations development will be used to investigate the specific sound world of each hearing aid, and to create ways of sharing these sound worlds with others in live performance settings.

This project is in partnership with the Australian Art Orchestra and supported by City of Melbourne and Playking Foundation.
