On Wednesday 14 October 2015, the film-video version of Juliana Hodkinson‘s chamber opera, Turbulence from 2013, with libretto by Cynthia Troup, was screened in Melbourne’s Fed Square.

This film-video was created in 2015 as part of the internet eBook LIGE, for the Danish Ministry of Gender Equality in collaboration with the Danish Agency for Culture, and launched at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. The commissioning editors and curators for this eBook were Sanne Kofod Olsen, Ditte Soria and Ingeborg Okkels.

Filmmaker Peter Humble, former artistic director David Young, composer Juliana Hodkinson and librettist Cynthia Troup, in collaboration with Chamber Made Opera, produced this film-video performance to a live audio recording of Turbulence from the premiere Living Room Opera season in Northcote, Melbourne 2013.

This screening was presented as part of the ‘Agile Opera’ Project, an Australian Research Council Linkage Project between RMIT University’s Spatial Information Architecture Laboratory (SIAL), Fed Square’s Creative Program, Australia Council for the Arts, and Chamber Made Opera.
