Chamber Made Opera has always been committed to research and development. R&D runs through each of our new works and every one of our activities.

In 2014, we challenged ourselves with the re-imagining of chamber opera in the digital era by joining forces with RMIT, Victoria University, Fed Square and the Australia Council on the three-year Agile Opera project. An Australia Research Council (ARC) Linkage project, Agile Opera is asking us to consider the digital world and how its virtual platforms might impact on our art-making, our mode of presentation and distribution, as well as our operations.

We hope you can join us at this first Salon event of 2015 – co-presented by RMIT’s SIAL Studio – to hear more about this exciting project.

This Salon is co-presented with RMIT’s SIAL Studio and the Australian Research Council Agile Opera Linkage Project.
