MILK is a newly formed artist-run initiative, situated on Wurundjeri woi-wurrung Country at 1/222 Johnston St, Collingwood.

In between exhibitions and public programs, MILK is offering free mini-residencies to artists and collectives as a way to support the local creative community.

We are delighted to be part of MILK’s inaugural mini-residency, with artists Sarah Walker and Katerina Kokkinos-Kennedy working on a new development: Bodies of Water.

This will be a large-scale public participatory work about our mythic relationship with the sea; one that is changing rapidly as the ocean becomes a site of increasing danger and disquiet in the climate era.

The residency is running for four days from 9 – 12 April.

Free public event

Sarah and Katerina will hold a Listening Party and Deep Dive event, open to the public on Saturday, 9 April 5-7pm.

They invite people to attend, hear some of the audio they’ve been working on, and to participate in a casual discussion about water, myth, ritual and participation.

Please bring your own headphones and phone/listening device.
