Initially, two Irish artists will be selected by Chamber Made Opera to partake in a residency in Melbourne, Australia where we will develop a response to ‘lifting the curse on the City of Limerick’.
This curse is based on the story of St Munchin who, long while building his church in Limerick was so furious by the lack of help from the locals, he prayed that strangers would prosper in Limerick whilst the locals would be forever be unfortunate and unsuccessful.
