We are so pleased to start the year with an international presentation of Dragon Ladies Don’t Weep which has been programmed at the Taiwan International Arts Festival.

It is wonderful to have Dragon Ladies Don’t Weep feature in this festival, bringing the work of our artistic team including performer and musician Margaret Leng Tan, composer Erik Griswold, video and sound artist Nick Roux, director Tamara Saulwick and dramaturg Kok Heng Leun to a new audience.

The festival has been held annually since 2009 and this year includes a rich and diverse program of works from all over the world including Le Bal de Paris by Spanish choreographer Blanca Li (winner Lion Award for the best VR experience at the Venice Film Festival in 2021), The Hamartia Trilogy (produced by CAMPO arts centre) written, directed, and performed by Europe-based South Korean artists Jaha Koo, and tiaen tiamen Episode 1, by choreographer Bulareyaung Pagarlava who is from the Paiwan tribe of Taiwan.

Running from February to May, this exciting festival is well worth checking out and please do share the details about the Dragon Ladies Don’t Weep season with your Taiwan-based friends and peers.
