Set high in the sky in an airline passenger cabin, Turbulence invites you to witness a musical drama playing out between a mother and daughter.

We are very pleased to present a free screening of ‘Persona’, the 1966 film written and directed by Ingmar Bergman and starring Bibi Andersson and Liv Ullmann.

On Wednesday 14 October 2015, the film-video version of Juliana Hodkinson‘s chamber opera, Turbulence from 2013, with libretto by Cynthia Troup, was screened in Melbourne’s Fed Square.

The performance of Opera-therapea was revealed for the first time in a consulting room in Fitzroy on 27th October 2013.

Chamber Made Opera, Writers Victoria and the Wheeler Centre are putting the focus on librettists in July. We are thrilled to be offering a practical and thorough workshop for aspiring and emerging librettists, and a free talk at the Wheeler Centre all about the business of writing librettos.
