The Possessed

Set in the confines of a mysterious Chinese pawnshop, The Possessed tells the story of Jinshan, an old man who, desperate to assert his masculinity and to secure his family’s honour, purchases a very young bride. When his attempts to provide an heir are unsuccessful, his frustration turns to violence. Immersed in his own needs, Jinshan fails to notice his nephew’s obsession with his beautiful wife and a mounting passion for revenge.
