A dissection of the human heart

‘Beneath’ was an international collaboration between Melbourne’s Chamber Made Opera (Artistic Director Douglas Horton) and Berlin-based Australian performer/composer/choreographer Joanna Dudley, German composer/performer/electronic artist RUfus Didwiszus.

‘Beneath’ is set in an ambiguous laboratory, a space for the dissection of bodies, intense relationships and the human heart. Every member of the audience wears headphones, allowing them to access an intimate and extraordinary sound world. Simulated body parts ore discovered, probed and dissected on stage by two forensic investigators and are also used as musical instruments and sonic devices.
