Anky’s seminal play The Dybbuk, theatre maker Samara Hersch has created Dybbuks, a contemporary feminist version of the dybbuk myth that evokes the many ways the dead inhabit female bodies through language, voice, memory and desire. Join us for a Secret Salon at Federation Square to celebrate the public screening of Turbulence, a film by Peter Humble that re-imagines the 2013 Living Room Opera by Juliana Hodkinson with libretto by Cynthia Troup. Plans for the Salon include an update on the Agile Opera research project by Associate Professor Lawrence Harvey (RMIT) and a casual Q&A with some of the artists over drinks and nibbles.
